93 lots of very high end furniture and decorations including 2 Savonnerie Carpet Fragments and a Gobelins Allegorical Tapestry, a pair of Renaisance style Dog Kennels, Satin Damask Panels, a good selection of sculptures and decorative arts, mostly Louis XIV. 70 items shown in color and 23 in black & white. This collection was gathered by Jacques Garcia to furnish & decorate the main floor of a house built by Jules-Hardouin Mansart (1645-1708), principal architect to Louis XIV. Mansart built this house for himself in the Marais area of Paris.
